Road trip!  We were headed to Spartanburg, South Carolina for a friend’s wedding and took a quick detour to hit another high peak.  We drove the windy road most of the way to the summit and witnessed the beginning of spring on our relaxing hike into the valley and back.  The sun was shining, birds were chirping, insects were crawling, and re-growth and new life were plentiful.
